lol, i feel like that too. It helps a little bit, but sadly, you still need to cut their toenails every once in a while :( lol

Yeah it will help a bit but as cavywavy said you'll still have to cut them every so often. It helps if your pig has white nails, because then you can see where the pink quik ends and cut a bit past that. If he/she has black nails, get someone to shine a torch underneath the nail and you should see the quik. Cutting their nails shouldn't hurt (like humans) so maybe you're cutting too close to the quik. Bribing your pig with veggies might distract him/her a bit!

Thats what we had to do. Because i don't think his previous owners cut his nails for 2 years, bazils nails had all curled back. We didn't hit the pink quik, but he just dosen't like it. I had my dad holding him, and my mum cutting his nails and i was giving him parsley lol.

Yeah, we had to take him there when we first got him, because he had mites. His previous owners must of been horrible.

I do not think its good for them to run on concrete to often,
got to be harsh on their feet.

Yeah i suppose.
I let my guinea pig run around on the grass more. and he eats a lot of it. He is a massive guinea pig.

I got my piggies in oktober and it has been way to let them outside,
so they've never been on concrete nor grass.

are you planning on trying to lead your piggy on concrete? i dont know if that wi;; work, pigs only move when they want too, and they can be stubborn so i dont know how well it would work. Well if youve ever seen a guinea pig run you'll notice 1. they dont run in a straight line, (hard to keep them on concrete) and only for a little.

also the concrete would only at best keep the nails at the length they are.
i have a rough rock in partys cage, which helps a little, but i still have to trim her nails. its not that hard, once you get used to it. just turn the pig on its back on your lap holding its chest area with your weak hand, and clipping the nails with your strong hand. be carefull not to cut the quick!
then for the back legs, let him or her stand nomally, and pull the leg backwards (dont keep pulling if they struggle) and clip them like that, they should be easier.
good luck!
