This is a easy cheap way to make bedding which your guinea pig will love. My guinea pig loves this stuff and spends most of its time in there when hes in his cage. when you get your mail/newspapers/leaflets come through the door and your about to through them away, Don't. All you have to do is shred the or rip them into strips, and put them as your guinea pigs bedding. I have about 5 massive bag fulls of them, and it keeps my guinea pig warm, and he nibbles at them lol

Yep I use this in a little area of my C&C below the hay rack. It is pretty easy to clean too, because it clumps up when wet.

yeah. Well i dont have a c&c cage, i just have a normal cage, but its a big rabbit one. we get big boxes for out guinea pigs bed, because if you get a guinea pig "pigloo" or hut plastic thing, there really hard work to clean and all they do is stay in there all the time and you can see them. so i just fill the whole box up with the stuff. Its funny because you can't see him, and all you can hear is him purring or nibbling lol

Hehe cute! Are you in the UK? If you are, B&Q have cubes for £10 so you could build a big C&C quite cheaply. My pigs really like all the extra space!

No, he's inside, because i feel bad for them when its cold and rainy. Also inside he sees a lot of visitors because i only have one pig.

Oh right. Have you thought about adopting him a friend because they are happier in groups?

I did, but they started fighting lol, and we had to take him back but i still have bazil! I think hes happier with human attention, because he always fights other animals, but he like us, and when we stroke him he licks my fingers, and squishes out and starts purring like a cat lol

Right this is going to sound weird, but we can leave our cage open and bazil won't jump out. He loves his home. We have left his cage open for about a year, and he hasn't even tried to get out. And he has "freedom". But if we get another guinea pig then the cage will be shut all the time and knowing bazil they will fight. The only animal bazil didn't fight with is my friends rabbit who is a boy.

I'd try and persuade your mum All pigs are different, just because he didn't get on with one doesn't mean he won't get on with another. That's weird he doesn't come out of his cage. You could put hideys and stuff out and shut his cage so he has to explore. He might be more brave if he had a friend.
